This needs assessment was performed to assess medical equipment maintenance capacity in MoH hospitals in Zambia. A particular focus was paid to personnel and training needs in order to determine gaps in the current structure that can be addressed in part through the establishment of a biomedical engineering technologist diploma course in Zambia.
