Friday May 8, 2015 marked the official opening of the Biomedical Engineering Technology Skills Workshop at the Northern Technical College (NORTEC), Ndola, Zambia. The BMET Diploma, is the first technologist pre-service training course in Zambia.
Meet Natasha, a Biomedical Technologist enrolled on THET's Engineering Technologist course in Zambia. Up to 50% of medical equipment in Zambia is out of service. Health workers like Natasha are addressing this critical situation by fixing, maintaining and managing medical equipment, helping to improve patient care.
