In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals (officially known as the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs). It’s now five years on, and we have more work than ever to do. These goals have the power to create a better world by 2030, by ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.
Through this approach, the programme aims to enable CSOs to improve their capacity to deliver quality health partnership programmes and mobilise funds, therefore supporting increased sustainability and scale up of reach.
THET will deliver a comprehensive capacity development project, informed by a robust assessment of need, and designed to strengthen mutually agreed capacities. It will involve a combination of participatory workshops and tools and resources that draw on THET’s capacity development experience. This will be underpinned by THET’s Principles of Partnership (PoP): each broken down into more specific characteristics, that make up the ideal standards we recommend for effective partnership working and project implementation.
The SCCF works with CSOs across the UK who are working in partnership with health institutions and those delivering health related projects in FCDO priority countries. As such this project is funded with UK aid from the UK government.
Following design phase, the Programme is now under implementation and we look forward to sharing further information on the programme in due course.
