Call for Presentations: THET Annual Conference 2024

13 September 2024

Are you advancing universal health coverage through your interventions or research? Health Partnerships are invited to share their innovative work at the THET Annual Conference 2024 on 7th November.

While advancing the quality of healthcare is a central theme, we are particularly interested in how some of our Health Partners are advancing access to health services and equity in health services. Often, these themes all go hand in hand, so we would also encourage submissions from projects that focus primarily on quality of services, with improvements in access/equity as secondary or emergent outcomes.

Selected Partnerships will be invited to present their work in the form of oral presentations on the second day of the THET Annual Conference 2024 (7th November), with presentations being 15 minutes in length followed by a Q&A. This is an opportunity to showcase your work to a wide audience of global health professionals across different sectors, including health service delivery, academia and research, professional bodies, companies and not for profits, and make meaningful connections for stronger collaboration.

Each abstract should cover one of the following themes:

Access to Health Services

How the work of your Partnership has improved access to health services, advancing Universal Health Coverage. This could include (but is not limited to):

-The development of new services in the area of the Partnership’s operation, or significant expansion in the capacity of existing services.
-Decreasing the cost of health services to make them more widely available.
-Increasing the coverage of health services through capacity improvement or community outreach.
-Access related bi-directional benefits of Partnership working.
-Improving evidence and learning in relation to health access.

Equity in Health Services

How the work of your Partnership has improved equity in access to health services, advancing Universal Health Coverage. This could include (but is not limited to):

-Advancing the understanding of health equity within health systems
-Addressing disparities in healthcare faced as a result of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability etc.
-Equity related bi-directional benefits of Partnership working.
-Improving evidence and learning in relation to health equity.

To submit an abstract, please complete the Abstract Submission Form and send it to application@thet.org no later than midnight UK time on Sunday 6th October 2024.
