Securing Supplies in Somaliland

THET’s Country Director, Nura Ibrahim, and the team have been at the forefront of the COVID-19 response in Somalia/Somaliland. Following requests from the Ministry of Health and Development and in partnership with King’s College London, the team have worked to procure vital PPE as well as acting as a link between teams to provide guidance and training on COVID-19 diagnosis, case management and infection, prevention and control.

The much needed equipment, including thermometers, masks and gloves,  has now been distributed to treatment centres to enable health workers to stay safe and save lives.
